Nicole Spieker pursued their education at Utrecht University, where they obtained a Master's of Science degree in Molecular Biology. This educational journey lasted from 1989 to 1995. Additionally, they attended the University of Amsterdam for their doctoral studies in Molecular Genetics, completing their PhD degree between 1996 and 2000.
