Gerick Abaca

Gerick Abaca, PharmD, RPh, HBSc, is an experienced pharmacy professional currently serving as the owner and manager of Burlington Health Pharmacy and as a pharmacy manager at Agincourt Drugmart Inc. Since April 2018, Gerick has worked as an OSCE Pharmacist Assessor for PharmAchieve. Previous roles include managing Shoppers Drug Mart from May 2015 to June 2023, where responsibilities included developing workflow initiatives for COVID-19 vaccine administration and coordinating a Diabetes Clinic Initiative. Clinical experience includes various pharmacy internships at reputable institutions, focusing on patient assessments, medication management, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Gerick is also a former clinical pharmacist instructor at the Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Toronto, where contributions included assessing learner performance in clinical skills. Gerick holds a Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Toronto and an Honours Bachelor of Science from York University.
