Mehul Mehta (Micky)

Mehul Mehta, also known as Micky, has extensive work experience in the field of engineering and technology. Mehul is currently the VP of Engineering, Digital Systems & Software at Pharrowtech since November 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Director at Ptolemaeus Ltd starting from August 2021.

From November 2019 to July 2021, Mehul worked as the Chief Executive Officer at Celestia Technologies Group UK. Before that, they held the position of Business Unit Director at Celestia Technologies Group from May 2019 to November 2019.

Their long-term tenure at Blu Wireless Technology Ltd lasted from May 2009 to April 2019, where they served as the VP Modem Design. In this role, they were responsible for PHY layer design and development, managing design teams, and engaging with customers for pre-sales activities.

Before joining Blu Wireless Technology Ltd, they founded Sinetific Ltd, a consultancy specializing in system-level design and analysis of wireless technologies and networks. Mehul served as the Director of Sinetific Ltd from October 2008 to November 2012.

Mehul Mehta's career began at Roke Manor Research (Siemens R&D) in December 1997, where they worked as a Senior Engineer until November 2001. Mehul then moved on to ST Microelectronics (previously Synad Technologies Ltd) as a Principal DSP Engineer from December 2001 to November 2004, focusing on IEEE 802.11 modem design and ASIC implementation.

From November 2004 to August 2006, they joined Altera as a Member of Technical Staff, contributing to WiMAX (IEEE 802.16d, 802.16e) physical layer reference design and customer engagements.

Throughout their career, Mehul Mehta has demonstrated their expertise in wireless technologies, system-level design, modem design, and DSP algorithms. Mehul has also made significant contributions to industry standardization and has multiple patents in their name.

Mehul Mehta, also known as Micky, pursued their education with a strong focus on Wireless Communications and Electronics. Mehul commenced their academic journey in 1991 at the University of Southampton, where they pursued a BEng (Hons) degree in Electronics. Mehul completed their undergraduate studies in 1994. Eager to further explore their interests, they continued their education at the same university and obtained a Ph.D. in Wireless Communications, successfully concluding their doctoral studies in 1998. The University of Southampton played a pivotal role in shaping Mehul's educational background, equipping him with expertise in these two fundamental fields.
