Leon Haupt has a range of work experience in various roles and industries. Leon began their career as a Temporary Assistant at Federal-Mogul Powertrain in 2015. Leon then worked as an Energy & Resources Intern at Deloitte Deutschland, where they conducted a study on energy grid operator obligations. In 2017, Leon was a Research Assistant at InnoEnergy and took on the role of Business Developer at Solelia Greentech AB, focusing on adapting the business model for the German market. Leon also served as the Local Manager for CommUnity Barcelona, leading a team that prepared InnoEnergy students for the job market and facilitating collaborations with local startups and SMEs. In 2018, Leon conducted research as a Master Thesis Researcher at CITCEA-UPC on battery modeling and market bidding methods. In 2019, they worked as a PhD Research Candidate at the Research Center Finance & Information Management and as a GreenCampus Sustainability Manager at the University of Bayreuth. Leon also founded Phelas, a company that provides innovative electricity storage solutions. In 2020, they completed their PhD and continues to work as the Founder and Business Developer at Phelas.
Leon Haupt's education history begins in 2011 when they attended the University of Augsburg. Leon completed their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Industrial Engineering with a focus on the design of functional materials in 2014.
In 2016, Leon enrolled at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, where they pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in EIT InnoEnergy SELECT Double Degree, specifically in Environomical Pathways for Sustainable Energy Systems. Leon completed this program in 2017.
Following their time at KTH, Leon continued their studies at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. Leon studied for a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in the same field, EIT InnoEnergy SELECT Double Degree in Environomical Pathways for Sustainable Energy Systems. Leon completed this program in 2018.
During their educational journey, Leon also undertook a short course at Esade in 2016-2018. This course covered modules in entrepreneurship, project management, design thinking, and marketing, focusing on entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial studies.
In addition to their formal education, Leon obtained various certifications. In December 2017, they completed the Iberdrola Energy Challenge offered by InnoEnergy. Leon also completed a Matlab Course on Fundamentals, Data Processing and Visualization, and Deep Learning, offered by MathWorks in the same month.
In June 2017, Leon earned the CommUnity Representatives certification from CommUnity by InnoEnergy. Furthermore, in April 2013, they obtained a Catia V5 - Basic Training certification from encad consulting GmbH. Lastly, in April 2013, they completed a Presentation Course offered by Universität Augsburg.
