Alon Diament Carmel

Alon Diament Carmel is a seasoned Principal Data Scientist currently at Pheno.AI since August 2021, previously serving as a Senior Researcher. Prior experience includes roles as a Bioinformatician Consultant and Senior Bioinformatician Scientist at MyHeritage from September 2018 to October 2022, and volunteer researcher at Tel Aviv University's Tuller Lab for Computational Systems and Synthetic Biology, where Alon also completed a PhD focused on computational modeling of gene expression under the supervision of Tamir Tuller. Alon has an extensive educational background, holding a PhD in Computational Systems Biology from Tel Aviv University, an MSc in Electrical Engineering from Technion, and a dual B.Sc./B.A. in Electrical Engineering and Physics from Technion. Additional experience includes service as a Systems Engineer in the Israel Defense Forces, a graduate student at Technion, and a software developer for a music education application.
