Gordon Watt has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Gordon most recently worked at PHI Aviation as the Commercial and BD Director for the APAC region. Prior to that, they held positions such as Commercial Manager - Australia, SAR Technical Crew Manager, and Service Delivery Manager Australia at PHI Aviation. Before joining PHI Aviation, Gordon worked at Surf Life Saving Western Australia as a Drone Patrol Trainer/Operator. Gordon also has experience with Bristow Group, where they served as a SAR Technical Crew Manager, Technical Crew Examiner (SAR), Deputy SAR Manager, and SAR Chief Crewman. Gordon started their career in the Royal Air Force (RAF) as a Flight Commander, RAF SAR Sea King Helicopter Aircrew & Paramedic, and RAF Puma Helicopter Aircrew. Gordon began their aviation career at PDG Aviation Services in a Flight Operations role.
Gordon Watt has a diverse education history. Gordon attended Dingwall Academy from 1992 to 1998, but it is not specified if they obtained a degree or studied a specific field during this time. In 2005, Gordon enrolled in the College of Search & Rescue Medicine, where they pursued a BTEC level 4 degree in Paramedic Practice. This program lasted until 2008. In 2013, they attended Coventry University and earned a Certificate in Specialist Rescue, completing the program in 2014.
In addition to their academic achievements, Gordon has obtained several certifications. In 2017, they became a National Registered Paramedic (NRP) through The Health and Care Professions Council. Gordon then obtained a Remote Pilots License RePL Multi-rotor up to 25kgs - restricted* from the Civil Aviation Safety Authority in April 2019. Later that same year, in August 2019, they became a National Registered Paramedic (NRP) through the Australia Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
