Lionel Stanart graduated from college with a degree in accounting. Lionel began their career as an intern at the Sacramento Kings, where they were responsible for importing data into the accounting system and translating between spend categories and league reporting requirements. Lionel also composed profitability reports for the team's concert series. After their internship ended, Lionel Stanart accepted a position as an accounting intern at the Charlotte Hornets. Lionel was responsible for recording cash transactions, preparing monthly reports, distributing donor acknowledgement letters, and tracking gift card usage. Lionel also analyzed daily revenue data from Ticketmaster and recorded it in a spreadsheet. After their internship ended, Lionel Stanart was hired by the Philadelphia 76ers as a staff accountant.

Lionel Stanart pursued a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A) with a finance focus from California State University, Fullerton. Lionel later achieved certification from EisnerAmper in NBA 201: CFS Training.
