T.J. Paganetti, who enters his sixth season on the Eagles' coaching staff, earned the added title and responsibility of assistant run game coordinator during the 2020 offseason and will continue to serve as the team's assistant running backs coach. From 2013-14, Paganetti served as an analyst (offense and quarterbacks) on Philadelphia's staff and returned as an offensive quality control/assistant offensive line coach during the 2017-18 seasons. He has worked in depth with the Eagles' running game since 2017.
In 2019, Paganetti worked alongside assistant head coach/running backs coach Duce Staley to help rookie RB Miles Sanders and second-year RB Boston Scott achieve breakout years. Sanders was named to the PFWA All-Rookie Team after leading all NFL rookies in all-purpose yards (1,641) and scrimmage yards (1,327) and setting new rookie franchise records in both rushing yards (818) and scrimmage yards (1,327). Additionally, Sanders ranked third among NFL running backs in scrimmage yards per touch (5.8) (min. 200 touches). Scott, who helped spark Philadelphia's late-season playoff surge, registered career highs in scrimmage yards (449) and rushing touchdowns (5).
Paganetti assisted offensive line coach/run game coordinator Jeff Stoutland with an offensive line unit that sent two players to the Pro Bowl – T Lane Johnson and G Brandon Brooks – in 2018.
Paganetti also helped coach one of the most dominant offensive lines in the NFL during Philadelphia's Super Bowl LII-winning season in 2017. The Eagles offensive line paved the way for a ground attack that ranked third in rushing yards per game (132.2) and fourth in rushing average (4.47 ypc). Johnson and Brooks were voted to their first career Pro Bowls, while Johnson and C Jason Kelce earned All-Pro honors.
During his time as an offensive analyst, the Eagles established single-season franchise records in points (474), touchdowns (54), passing yards (4,581) and first downs (356) in 2014, as well as total net yards (6,676) and fewest turnovers (19) in 2013.
Prior to Paganetti's work with the Eagles, the Bedford, MA, native held numerous stints with the Oregon Ducks football program, where he focused on read option/run-pass option offense. Paganetti served as the program's undergraduate intern in 2007 and 2008 working with the offense before becoming a student assistant coach from 2009-2012 working with the offense and quarterbacks. Following his graduation in 2012, Paganetti was elevated to the position of offensive intern where he worked with the quarterbacks.
Paganetti originally joined the Eagles in 2013 as an analyst working with the offense and quarterbacks. After his first two seasons with the Eagles (2013-14), he returned to Oregon as a Graduate Assistant/Linebackers coach for the 2015-2016 seasons.
Paganetti earned his bachelor's degree in political science from Oregon in 2012. His brother is assistant linebackers coach/game management Ryan Paganetti.
