Moriah Mendicino serves as an Equal Justice Works Legal Fellow at Philadelphia Lawyers for Social Equity, a position held since September 2022, after previously interning there in the summer of 2021. Moriah's legal experience also includes an internship with The Pennsylvania Innocence Project from June 2020 to January 2021. Prior to transitioning into law, Moriah was deeply involved in education, serving as a Corps Member and advisor for Teach For America, where responsibilities included managing Corps Members and facilitating professional development. Moriah taught English at Foundation Academies and Young Scholars Charter School for multiple years, contributing to the educational development of students in middle and high school. Moriah's academic credentials include a Juris Doctor from Rutgers Law School, a Master of Education from the University of Pennsylvania, and dual bachelor's degrees in Journalism and Communication from the University of Colorado Boulder.
