Waynn Wu

Waynn Wu was appointed Chief Strategy Officer of Philip Morris International (PMI) in 2023, having joined the company as Vice President, Mergers & Acquisition and President, Philip Morris Equity Partner in 2022.

She is a purpose-driven business leader and is highly experienced at delivering structural and complex M&A transactions that create sustainable growth for multinational organizations. Ms. Wu has an impressive track record of fostering and managing business growth across the U.S., Europe, and Asia, leveraging data science, driving global innovation, transforming organizations, and building highly engaged teams.

Before joining PMI, Ms. Wu was Managing Director and Partner at Creador, a private equity firm. Prior to that, she served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer for Zuellig Pharma in Taiwan and held several senior global positions at Danone in Amsterdam and Singapore. She started her career with McKinsey & Company in San Francisco.

Ms. Wu holds an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School and a BA in Economics from Stanford University.
