Justine Brakefield has had a diverse work experience. Justine started as a Tutor at the Center for Academic Resources in Engineering in 2011, followed by an Undergraduate Research Assistant at UIUC/National Science Foundation in 2013. Justine then became a Structural Engineering Graduate Student at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2013. In 2015, they were a Project Engineer at Seattle Structural, followed by a Project Engineer at AHBL in 2016. In 2017, they were a Graduate Student at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. In 2018, they became a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Washington. In 2019, they were a Project Engineer at Magnusson Klemencic Associates. Justine is currently an Engineering Manager, Software Engineer, and Data Analyst at Phillips Connect since 2021.
Justine Brakefield completed their Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2013. Justine then went on to pursue a Master's Degree in Structural Engineering from the same institution, which they completed in 2014. Justine also holds an EIT certification.
