Cristina Chi

Cristina Chi is a reporter at Philstar.com since January 2023, focusing on education, foreign affairs, the Office of the Vice President, and the Commission on Elections. Cristina leads coverage on foreign and domestic influence operations and issues related to misinformation. Recognized for excellence in journalism, Cristina was selected as a panelist at the 2023 Jaime V. Ongpin Seminar, hosted by the Philippine media watchdog Center for Media Freedom and Responsibility. Prior to this role, Cristina worked as a freelance journalist for the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom, producing a multimedia report on the challenges faced by queer women in the Philippines. Cristina holds a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the University of the Philippines and previously studied Political Science at the University of the Philippines Manila.
