Sam MacPherson

Sam MacPherson is a seasoned professional in the field of technology and blockchain, currently serving as Co-Founder of Phoenix Labs, an R&D company focused on smart contract development for DeFi protocols since June 2023. Prior to this role, Sam worked as a Protocol Engineer at MakerDAO from 2022 to March 2023, where responsibilities included maintaining and operating existing smart contracts and ensuring the safety of protocol design and implementation. Sam also founded SandBoxd Inc, overseeing all technical matters from April 2012 to 2013, and co-owned GigaBlast Games from November 2006 to 2012, contributing as a game programmer and designer. Sam holds a Bachelor of Computer Science degree from the University of Waterloo, completed in 2012.
