Yew Johnson has a diverse work experience in user research and environmental research.
In 2014, Yew worked as a Research Intern at the Marine Biological Laboratory, where they conducted field and laboratory data collection and collaborated with other researchers on various projects.
In 2015, Yew interned at PennEnvironment, conducting research and presenting findings to supervisors, performing data entry, and writing materials for public outreach.
From 2016 to 2017, Yew worked at NetEase North America, starting as an Associate User Experience Researcher, collaborating with different teams to design actionable research, conducting playtesting, and gathering insights through surveys and interviews. They then transitioned to the role of User Experience Researcher, continuing their research activities until December 2018.
In 2018, Yew joined Phoenix Labs as a User Experience Researcher, conducting user research activities. In August 2021, they were promoted to a Senior User Experience Researcher and continued in that role until the present.
Most recently, in September 2022, Yew started working at Electronic Arts (EA) as a Senior User Researcher.
Yew Johnson attended Bryn Mawr College from 2012 to 2016, where they pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Cultural Anthropology.
