Jim Mortensen

Mr. Mortensen is responsible for Phoenix’s Global R&D team and is Head of Engineering. He coordinates with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Engineering to align Phoenix’s global engineering efforts with company strategy, vision, and objectives. Mr. Mortensen also heads the dedicated Phoenix Security Team where he manages discovery, investigation, and response to security vulnerabilities in Phoenix firmware and tools. He works closely with Phoenix partners to quickly communicate and provide solutions for new and emerging security threats. Mr. Mortensen has over 15 years of boot firmware experience with both UEFI and legacy BIOS and holds a bachelor’s degree in Computing and Software Systems with magna cum laude honors from the University of Washington.
