Max Mlinar is the current Director of Operations at Phood. Prior to this, Max was the Customer Relationship Management Lead at Nichols Kaster, PLLP from August 2017 to September 2019. In this role, Max served as the project manager for 20 active class action cases totaling $47.5M, data analyst, legal writer, and staff liaison. As project manager, Max was responsible for the overall success of each case and ensuring that deadlines were met. As data analyst, Max built data models and designed innovative data collection methods that produced a 128% increase in plaintiff opt-in rate and an average of $500K increase in case valuation. As legal writer, Max published research-intensive legal articles that garnered hundreds of views and stimulated case generation. Lastly, as staff liaison, Max gave monthly presentations to the Partner Committee resulting in a multitude of operational improvements including Excel certification for all employees.
Prior to Nichols Kaster, PLLP, Max was the Talent Consultant - Business Department at BNU-HKBU United International College from September 2016 to June 2017. In this role, Max was responsible for connecting students with businesses for internships and full-time positions.
Max began their career as a Judicial Assistant at Hennepin County District Court from May 2015 to August 2015. In this role, Max assisted judges with administrative tasks such as scheduling hearings and managing court documents.
Max is also the founder of the ACLU of Minnesota chapter which they started in January 2014 and ran until January 2016.
Max Mlinar's educational career includes a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Anthropology from Gustavus Adolphus College.
They are on a team with Naim Busek - CTO, Sara Jacques - Director of Marketing, and Matthew Miller - Director of Partnerships. Their manager is Luc Dang, Founder & CEO.
