Kristin Nixon attended the University of Colorado in Boulder and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in molecular, cellular, and developmental biology. She began her career in research in Dr. Mike Browning’s neuroscience lab at CU Denver, studying molecular mechanisms of learning and memory. To aid their studies, the lab developed antibodies internally, primarily against NMDA receptors, and Kristin became responsible for antibody production. In 2001, Kristin left the university to help Dr. Browning launch PhosphoSolutions.
She enjoys cooking and all things food and drink, travel (especially relating to food and wine), and spending time with her miniature dachshund, Macy.
