Dean Posthuma

Process Engineer at Photanol

Dean Posthuma has worked in two roles since 2017. From 2017-2020, they were an Undergraduate Researcher at Imperial College London, where they were involved in research projects at the Tomorrow's Chemical Technologies Lab within the Chemical Engineering Department. Their role focused on utilisation of lignin as a valuable chemical resource, and they gained practical experience and an extensive grasp of concepts and challenges facing the implementation of a feasible bio-based chemical industry / bio-refining. Dean also held the roles of President's Ambassador and Regalia Officer for the ChemEng Society. In 2020, they took on the role of Process Engineer at Photanol.

Dean Posthuma completed a Master of Engineering (MEng) in Chemical Engineering from Imperial College London between 2016 and 2020. In 2019, they also completed a Year Abroad at Delft University of Technology in the same field.
