Mohsen K. Akhlaghi

Mohsen K. Akhlaghi is a distinguished engineer with extensive experience in photonics and electronic design, currently serving as a Distinguished Engineer and Director of Integrated Photonics at Photonic Inc. since 2020. Prior roles include R&D Manager and Senior Scientist at Nanotech Security Corp., where Mohsen focused on nano- and micro-fabrication processes and innovative product development. Mohsen has also held academic positions as a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of British Columbia and as a research and teaching assistant at the University of Waterloo. In earlier career stages, Mohsen co-founded Waran Ltd. and worked in various roles involving electronic hardware design, automotive electronics, and system analysis. Mohsen holds a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Waterloo, as well as a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology.
