Karyn Schwartz

Karyn Schwartz has extensive experience in the healthcare industry, with a focus on policy analysis, thought leadership, and regulatory leadership. Karyn is currently a Senior Vice President at PhRMA, where they previously held the role of Vice President. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Fellow at the Kaiser Family Foundation.

Before joining the Kaiser Family Foundation, Karyn Schwartz spent several years at PhRMA, where they held various positions including Vice President, Deputy Vice President, Senior Director, and Director. In these roles, they spearheaded cross-departmental initiatives, conducted research studies, and led policy and regulatory efforts.

Karyn'sexperience also includes working at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) as a Program Analyst. During their time at HHS, they conducted policy and data analysis, managed contracts, and supported decision-making processes.

Earlier in their career, Karyn Schwartz worked as a Senior Policy Analyst at the Kaiser Family Foundation, focusing on health insurance coverage and thought leadership. Karyn also worked as a Health Editor at NewsHour with Jim Lehrer, where they reported on healthcare topics, including Medicare Part D.
