Peter Murphy

Peter Murphy is an experienced Wireless System Engineer currently employed at PHY Wireless since March 2022. Prior to this role, Peter worked as a Wireless Systems Engineer at Google from November 2011 to February 2022 and served as a Consultant Engineer at Venture Design Services Inc. from December 2008 to October 2011, focusing on the design and implementation of receiver algorithms. Peter's engineering career also includes positions at Intel and Texas Instruments, specializing in WiMax and WiFi PHY modem design, respectively. Earlier experiences include roles at Alantro Communications and U.S. Wireless, working on communication systems and cellular geolocation systems. Peter holds a PhD and an MS in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Davis, and a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
