Amer Alqaaod

Amer Alqaaod is a researcher at Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) since September 2020, previously serving as a consultant at the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) from October 2019 to September 2020 and as a postdoctoral fellow at Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP) from June 2018 to September 2020, focusing on nuclear systems design and particle transport simulation. Amer conducted neutronics calculations and explored MYRRHA reactor parameters during a postdoctoral research fellowship and PhD studies at Ain Shams University from January 2013 to May 2018, where significant contributions included improving Triga Mark II reactor performance for transmuting plutonium and actinides. Amer holds a PhD in Nuclear Physics from Ain Shams University (2013-2016), an M.Sc. in Nuclear Physics from Helwan University Cairo (2009-2012), and a B.Sc. in Physics from Sana'a University (2000-2004).
