Naomi O'Reilly

Learning Architect and MOOC Manager at Physiopedia

Naomi O'Reilly started their work experience in 2003 as a National Development Officer for Disability Swimming at The Amateur Swimming Association. Naomi then worked at Right To Play as a Project Coordinator and Country Representative, coordinating the SportHealth Project and developing partnerships. From 2006 to 2008, they served as the National Administrator for New Zealand Wheelchair Rugby. In 2008, they became the Sport & Education Development Manager at Sports Wing - Ghana Society of the Physically Disabled. Naomi later joined Great Britain Wheelchair Rugby as the Team Manager and Assistant Performance Director from 2009 to 2010. From 2011 to 2015, they worked at Paralympics Ireland, initially as a Physiotherapist and then as the Classification & Program Manager, responsible for developing the National Classification Strategy. Naomi also provided physiotherapy screening and support services to athletes during training and competition. From 2013 to 2018, Naomi served as a Physiotherapist and Strength & Conditioning Coach for the Irish Wheelchair Rugby Squad, providing various forms of support including player screening, rehabilitation, and injury prevention strategies. Naomi then worked at The Physio Company as a Physiotherapist, managing and treating a range of musculoskeletal and neurological issues, before joining Physiopedia in 2015 as a Learning Architect and MOOC Manager. Currently, they are working as a Paediatric Physiotherapist at the Health Service Executive.

Naomi O'Reilly's education history is as follows:

From 2019 to 2022, Naomi attended UCL, where they pursued an MSc in Advanced Paediatrics with a focus on Paediatric Physiotherapy.

In the years 2010 to 2013, they studied at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) and obtained a BSc (Hons) degree in Physiotherapy with Clinical Distinction.

In 2007 and 2008, Naomi enrolled in two different institutions simultaneously. Naomi participated in a program at KU Leuven, where they completed an MSc (EMMAPA) in Adapted Physical Activity. Additionally, during the same period, they also studied at the University of Limerick, where they earned another MSc (EMMAPA) in Adapted Physical Activity.

From 2006 to 2007, Naomi attended the University of Canterbury and completed a PG Dip in Teaching and Learning. Naomi'sareas of study included Physical Education, Outdoor Education, Biology, Health, and Social Studies.

In 1997 and 1998, Naomi pursued post-graduate papers at KU Leuven, focusing on Adapted Physical Activity.

Naomi'sundergraduate studies took place from 1993 to 1996 at Nottingham Trent University. Naomi obtained a BSc (Hons) degree in Sport Science and Administration.
