Jorge Montanez

Jorge Montanez has worked in various roles in the software engineering field since 2006. Jorge began their career as a Summer Intern at the University of Pennsylvania in 2006, followed by a Summer Intern role at National Instruments in 2007. In 2008, they worked as a Project Manager at the University of Puerto Rico, then as a Summer Intern at Verizon Wireless in 2010. From 2012-2014, they were a Development Tester at SAS, and from 2014-2021 they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Allscripts. Currently, they are employed as a Software Engineer at Physna.

Jorge Montanez has an extensive educational background. Jorge received their High School Diploma from Escuela Superior Juan Suárez Pelegrina in 2004. Jorge then went on to obtain a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Puerto Rico Mayaguez Campus in 2011. Most recently, they earned a Master's degree in Information and Cybersecurity from the University of California, Berkeley in 2020. In addition, they have obtained several certifications from Coursera, including Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization (2018), Neural Networks and Deep Learning (2018), Cryptography I (2017), Cryptography (2016), and Machine Learning (2016).
