Janet Austin

Janet Austin is a Mentor Coordinator for the Y Mentor program for the schools in Anderson School District One.

In her role as Mentor Coordinator, Janet is responsible for matching mentors to students who have been identified by school counselors as someone who could benefit from having a mentor. Throughout the school year, she lends support to the mentors and schools to ensure the mentees are benefitting from the program.

Janet has many years of experience in education in both the public and home school sectors. To go with her education experience, Janet also has experience in program leadership and volunteer management. Janet utilizers her previous experiences to build relationships with our school partners, mentors and community leaders to strengthen the impact of Y Mentor in our schools.
