Matt Hansen

Matt Hansen is a highly experienced professional in the robotics and software engineering fields, currently serving as the Principal Solutions Architect at PickNik Robotics since July 2024. Prior to this role, Matt worked at Amazon Web Services (AWS) as a Principal Solutions Architect from February 2020 to July 2024 and held various senior positions at Intel Corporation from 1996 to 2020, including Engineering Team Lead and Sr. Robotics Software Architect. Matt is the current Intel representative to the ROS2 Technical Steering Committee, leading the ROS2 Navigation2 project and working with the Navigation Working Group. Recent projects include utilizing AI Gym for reinforcement learning in robotics, implementing face recognition login systems, and creating a two-wheel balancing robot, among others. Matt holds a Master of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Portland State University and has a foundational education from the University of Oregon.
