Antti Niemenpää

Antti Niemenpää is a Senior Software Engineer at Picnic, where they develop real-time web-based applications within the transportation industry. Antti has over 10 years of experience in software development and has held various positions throughout their career. Antti began their career as a developer at Luxus in 2009 and later became a Senior Developer and Technical Team Lead. In 2013, they joined Solita as a Senior Software Designer.

Antti is responsible for developing high quality software that is mission and safety critical. Antti uses lean and test driven development methods, as well as pair programming and code reviews. Their main programming languages are JavaScript, TypeScript, and PureScript, but they are also proficient in HTML and CSS/SASS. In addition to their development responsibilities, Antti also interviews job candidates and shares their knowledge with others through presentations, trainings, and one-on-one tutoring.

Some of the trainings Antti has given include Introduction to Functional Programming, Introduction to OOCSS and Atomic CSS, Web Performance, Road to React, Futures in JavaScript, and WebAssembly now and in the future.

Antti Niemenpää completed a Bachelor of Business Administration at Tampere University of Applied Sciences. Their field of study was computer science.
