Xiubo Zhang

Xiubo Zhang has a diverse work experience that includes roles in data science, research, and software development. Xiubo started in 2010 as a Java EE Developer and IT Support at World Travel Centre, where they designed and implemented an in-house information system. Xiubo then moved on to Trinity College Dublin, where they worked as a Research Assistant, Postdoctoral Researcher, and Postdoctoral Fellow. In these roles, they conducted research on the use of social media for enhanced emergency management and developed advanced machine-learning-based solutions. Xiubo also led technical aspects of projects, presented technical demonstrations, and worked with industrial partners. Most recently, they worked at Corvil as a Data Scientist and is currently employed at Pico as a Senior Data Scientist and VP.

Xiubo Zhang completed a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computer Science from Trinity College Dublin, from 2011 to 2016. Prior to that, Xiubo Zhang obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Technological University Dublin, from 2008 to 2010. Xiubo Zhang also holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Harbin Institute of Technology, from 2006 to 2008. In addition to their formal education, Xiubo Zhang has obtained several certifications, including "AI for Trading" from Udacity, "Professional Machine Learning Engineer" from Google, and various machine learning-related certifications from Coursera.
