Jean-Paul Aben

Jean-Paul Aben has extensive experience in the field of medical imaging and analysis software. Jean-Paul worked at Pie Medical Imaging for a total of 19 years, starting as a Software Developer and eventually becoming the Director of Research and Development. In this role, they were responsible for managing a team of 20 professionals and developing state-of-the-art software for quantitative analysis of cardiovascular medical images. Aben also established and maintained relationships with national and international research institutes. After leaving Pie Medical Imaging, Aben briefly worked as the Managing Director at 3mensio Medical Imaging, where they focused on developing innovative software for cardiovascular pre-operative sizing and planning. Additionally, Aben completed an internship at TU Delft in 1994.

Jean-Paul Aben completed a MSc degree in European Master Care & Technology from Zuyd University of Applied Sciences from 2015 to 2017. Prior to that, they pursued a degree in Technical Computer Science from the same university between 1991 and 1995. Before their university studies, they attended Overmaas college from 1987 to 1991, specializing in Electrotechnology.
