Ruben Amarasingham, MD, is the Founder and CEO of Pieces Technologies, Inc., a healthcare AI research and development firm established in January 2016, focusing on ensemble AI methods to enhance the work of medical professionals. Previously, Ruben served on the National Board of Directors for HIMSS from June 2016 to July 2019 and was the President and CEO of PCCI from January 2013 to January 2017, where efforts centered on scientific research and analytics to improve healthcare quality and efficiency. Ruben has held significant positions at UT Southwestern, including Director of Biomedical Informatics and Associate Professor, and served as Associate Chief of Medicine and Medical Director of Medical Services at Parkland Hospital. Educational background includes an MD from UT Southwestern Medical Center, an MBA from The Johns Hopkins University - Carey Business School, and a ScB from Brown University in Neuroscience and English Literature. Additionally, Ruben co-founded the St. Andrew's Indoor Soccer League.
