Yukun Chen

Yukun Chen possesses extensive experience in the field of artificial intelligence, currently serving as Vice President of Artificial Intelligence at Pieces Technologies since March 2016. Yukun has held various roles in the company, including Director of Artificial Intelligence, Director of Data Science for NLP Solutions, and NLP Scientist. Prior to this, Yukun worked as an NLP Scientist at PCCI and as a Research Assistant at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. Additional experience includes a position as a Visiting Student Trainee at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston and an internship at MD Anderson Cancer Center within the Department of Clinical and Informatics Analytics. Yukun's professional journey began with a role as a Health System Software Engineer at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Academically, Yukun holds a PhD in Biomedical Informatics from Vanderbilt University, an MS in Electrical Engineering and Robotics from the University of Pennsylvania, and dual degrees in Automation and Business Administration from Guangdong University of Technology.
