Andy Akin

Andy Akin has extensive experience in the banking and investment sectors, currently serving as Market President at The Piedmont Bank since December 2020. Prior to this role, Akin was the Senior Vice President and Commercial Banking Team Leader at Fidelity Bank from November 2007 to November 2020 and held the position of President at NAREI, LLC, an investment company specializing in real estate, from May 1999 to October 2007. Akin’s earlier career includes leadership roles at SunTrust Bank as FVP - Commercial Banking Team Leader and at Barnett Bank, Atlanta as VP - Loan Review Manager. The journey began in the Office of Thrift Supervision as a Bank Examiner from September 1986 to December 1990. Akin holds a BS in Accounting from The University of Alabama and studied at American University.
