Jay Tripp

Jay began his career in the HVAC industry as a teenager over 30 years ago, working in his family’s Electrical and HVAC business. He passed the NC Electrical Contactor’s Licensing exam shortly after graduation from high school, while attending Pitt Community College. After receiving an A.A.S. in Industrial Electrical/Electronics Technology, he worked as an industrial electrician for seven years. He came to Piedmont’s Greenville, NC branch as a commercial service tech in 1997 and transitioned to project sales in 2001. He left Piedmont in 2006 to run his family’s business and pursue other ventures, but returned to Piedmont in 2016 as a maintenance sales representative. In January 2020, he was promoted to General Manager of the Wilmington/Myrtle Beach office. Jay currently holds licenses in NC for Electrical, HVAC and Commercial Refrigeration.
