Petra Maier has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, spanning over a period of 29 years. Petra began their career at Hoechst AG as a Sales Representative in 1992. Petra then moved on to Zeneca Pharmaceuticals, where they held positions as a Junior and Senior Product Manager in the Oncology department. In 1999, they joined AstraZeneca as a Marketing Manager in Oncology, eventually becoming the Medical Marketing Manager. In 2003, they joined Merck Group, initially serving as the Head of Erbitux Strategic Marketing before being promoted to Vice President and Head of Global Strategic Marketing Oncology. In 2014, they transitioned to PMHealth, working as a Consultant in Pharmaceutical Strategy and Commercialization. Petra then moved to Boehringer Ingelheim in 2015 to take up the role of Head of Marketing & Strategy for Biosimilars. Petra'smost recent position was at Pierre Fabre Group, where they served as the Vice President and Head of Global Marketing Oncology.
Petra Maier holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Plant Physiology, Biochemistry, and Immunology from the Technische Universität Darmstadt. Petra also obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Biology, General from the same institution.
