Aaron Schroeder has held various positions in the tech industry since 2000. Aaron began their career at Microsoft as a Software Design Engineer Intern in 2000, followed by an independent contractor role at Datascribe Systems in 2002. In 2004, they started part-time at Kansas State University's Office of Educational Innovation & Evaluation (OEIE) as their first information technology professional, eventually becoming the Chief Technology Officer. In 2014, Aaron co-founded Piestar, Inc. and served as the founding CEO for two years. In 2021, they co-founded Canopy, a new public benefit company created in partnership with Kansas State University.
Aaron Schroeder obtained their Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from Kansas State University in 2001. Additionally, they obtained a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt (ICYB) certification from Crimson Corporation.com in June 2019.
