Devon H. began their work experience in January 2015 with an internship at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, where they tested trio samples and performed genomic DNA amplification and sequencing analysis. From October 2015 to July 2016, Devon worked as a research technician, coordinating a project to develop non-invasive prenatal diagnosis and amplifying whole genomic DNA from a single cell. In July 2016, Devon transitioned to the role of molecular technologist at the same institution, performing various molecular biological techniques and adhering to quality control policies in a CLIA/CAP laboratory setting. They also assisted in the validation, maintenance, and running of laboratory equipment. In January 2021, Devon joined Pillar Biosciences Incorporated as a field application scientist, responsible for supporting customers in using the company's products. In February 2023, they were promoted to the role of field application manager.
Devon H. completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Forensic Toxicology at John Jay College (CUNY) from 2011 to 2015. Prior to that, they received an Advanced Regents Diploma in Biomedical Sciences, General from James Madison High School between 2006 and 2010. Additionally, Devon obtained a Clinical Laboratory Technologist (Restricted License) certification from the New York State Education Department in March 2022.
