Mike Crowell, CPSM, C.P.M. CPIM

Mike Crowell, CPSM, C.P.M., has a comprehensive work experience in supply chain management, operations, and logistics in the biotech and healthcare industries. Mike has held various leadership roles in renowned companies such as Pillar Biosciences Incorporated, Locke Bio, Illumina, Verinata Health, Tethys Bioscience, Monogram Biosciences, Elan Pharmaceuticals, and Athena Neurosciences.

At Pillar Biosciences Incorporated, Mike currently serves as the Vice President of Operations. Prior to this, they were the Vice President of Operations at Locke Bio.

During their tenure at Illumina, Mike led the Global Illumina Lab Services Supply Chain and Operational Excellence organization, driving improvement in gross margin through implementation of robust systems and standard processes. Mike also directed all operations functions for Illumina's Reproductive and Genetic Health Business Unit, developing a global partner channel for test send out business in 23 countries.

Before joining Illumina, Mike worked as the Sr. Director of Supply Chain Management at Verinata Health, Inc., an Illumina Company. In this role, they developed and managed an agile and responsive supply chain organization, achieving 16 inventory turns annually and implementing strategies for strategic supplier relationship management and risk mitigation.

Prior to their time at Verinata Health, Mike served as the Director of Supply Chain Management at Tethys Bioscience, leading a collaborative supply chain function and implementing best practices in supply management and logistics. Mike also implemented a roadmap to successful supply chain FDA clearance and developed a corporate inventory and distribution policy.

Before Tethys Bioscience, Mike held the position of Director of Supply Chain Organization at Monogram Biosciences. Mike began their career at Elan Pharmaceuticals as the Senior Manager of Global Logistics and later joined Athena Neurosciences as a Logistics Manager.

Throughout their career, Mike has demonstrated strong leadership skills, a strategic mindset, and a focus on implementing efficient supply chain strategies.

Mike Crowell, CPSM, C.P.M., CPIM, has a strong educational background in business. Mike holds an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management, where they focused on Business. Additionally, they also completed an MBA with a specialization in APAC Business Strategy from the National University of Singapore.

In addition to their educational achievements, Crowell has obtained numerous certifications to further enhance their professional expertise. Mike is a Certified Purchasing Manager (C.P.M.) from the Institute for Supply Management, a Certified Logistics Practitioner (CLP) from the Institute of Logistical Management, and a Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) from APICS. Furthermore, they hold the title of Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) from the Institute for Supply Management. Additionally, Crowell is a Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt from Pivotal Resources and a Global Logistics Specialist (GLS) from the California State University-Long Beach - College of Business.
