Gavin King

Gavin King has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Gavin started their career as a Postgraduate Researcher at the Dublin Institute of Technology and focused on spectroscopy and optical detectors. Gavin then joined Xsil as an R&D Engineer, where they designed machining strategies and conducted experiments to optimize laser parameters. Additionally, they wrote technical manuals and provided training instructions to employees and customers.

After Xsil, Gavin started their own company called Allas Sport Devices, where they served as the Founder, Director, Operations Manager, and R&D Engineer. The company aimed to analyze personal sporting performance using technology. Gavin King obtained a Diploma in Big Data for business from Dublin Business School, where they studied Big Data and business from 2015 to 2016. Prior to that, they pursued an M.Sc. degree in Spectroscopy and photodetectors from Technological University Dublin from 2000 to 2003. Gavin'sundergraduate degree, an Honours Degree, was earned from Dublin City University between 1995 and 2000, with a major in Physics and French.
