Rafael Lima

Rafael Lima has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Rafael is currently working as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Pinch Financial since December 2021. Prior to this, they held the position of VP of Engineering at the same company from June 2021 to December 2021 and was an Engineering Lead from November 2018 to May 2021.

Before joining Pinch Financial, Rafael worked at TWG, a Deloitte business, where they were a Senior Tech Lead from September 2019 to May 2021 and a Senior Software Engineer from May 2017 to September 2019.

Rafael also has experience working at Sears Canada as a Senior Developer - Initium Commerce Lab. During their time there from January 2017 to May 2017, they integrated warehouse systems with Sears' ERP and ecommerce platforms. Rafael was promoted to a team leader role, where they implemented SCRUM and identified software design improvements.

In their earlier career, Rafael worked as a Software Developer at M4U, a mobile financial solutions company, from February 2015 to November 2016. Rafael was responsible for maintaining and developing new features for mobile recharge software used by major telecommunication carriers in Brazil.

Rafael also worked as a Java Software Developer at Affero-Lab, a Brazilian leader in corporate learning, from June 2012 to July 2014. Here, they developed social, learning, and cost management modules for the "YouKnow" Tool, which was used by companies like Globo.com, Vale, and Vivo.

Rafael's career started as a Java Developer at Stefanini, a multinational IT company, from January 2011 to May 2012. Rafael analyzed, developed, and tested a system for Bradesco Insurance Group, which handled daily usage by 15,000 users.

Rafael began their professional journey as a System Analyst at Path ITTS from July 2010 to December 2010. Prior to that, they worked as a Web Designer at Medcenter Solutions, where they developed websites and hotsites for the pharmaceutical industry using HTML, CSS, Javascript, flash, and Asp.net from June 2008 to June 2010.

Rafael Lima attended Instituto INFNET from 2009 to 2012, where they pursued a degree in Análise e desenvolvimento de sistemas (Analysis and Development of Systems) with a focus on Tecnologia da informação (Information Technology). In November 2015, they obtained a certification in IELTS (International English Language Testing System) from the British Council.
