Jay Carlis

Jay Carlis has a diverse work experience, primarily in the renewable energy industry. Jay is currently serving as the VP of Origination at Pine Gate Renewables, where they work with offtakers to deliver power and REC contracts across multiple regions in the US. Before that, Jay held various roles at The AES Corporation, including Senior Director of Origination, where they led origination efforts for the eastern US and closed 500 MW of PPAs in 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Community Energy, Inc as the Executive Vice President of Origination, leading sales of Power Purchase Agreements and utility-scale solar development. Jay also held roles at Renewable Energy Markets Association, IBM, Conservation Law Foundation, and Wheatmark, Inc in the earlier stages of their career.

Jay Carlis completed their education at Haverford College from 1995 to 1999, earning a BA in Sociology. Jay later attended UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School from 2005 to 2007, obtaining an MBA with a focus on Marketing and Sustainable Enterprise.
