Sales Partner Manager (Azure)

About the Team and Role:

The Sales Partner Manager - Azure Cloud role will report to the VP of Partnerships and is responsible for Co-Sell and all sales- related partner activities in the Pinecone-Microsoft partner  relationship.  

In this role, you will:

You will manage the Pinecone-Azure partnership, inclusive of product, GTM, executive and other alliance motions, and will primarily carry an Azure Cloud Marketplaces quota be measured on the amount of Pinecone pipeline built and usage consumed through Azure.  To achieve this quota, this person will be responsible for defining and orchestrating Pinecone’s GTM with Azure, inclusive of partner enablement, field marketing activities, strategic product integrations, executive alignment, and the like.        

You will have had extensive experience with Microsoft in a quota-carrying, Sales or Partnerships capacity, understanding how “Microsoft works”, their products, programs, leaders and ecosystem, and how to optimally navigate through the same. 

Requirements:

  • At least 4 years experience working directly with the Azure  Cloud Marketplace and associated Microsoft partner sales programs.
  • Has experience developing, managing and deepening relationships with technology / Cloud partners in the infrastructure software space for B2B companies
  • Ability to enable, support and collaborate with sales organization to facilitate account mapping and field-level relationships
  • Understaand MEDDPPICC
  • Worked with cross-functional teams: marketing, product and sales
  • Demonstrates exceptional written and oral communications, and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented

Bonus Points:

  • Experience working in database/search experience
  • Experience with a PLG GTM strategy

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in a partner or partner-facing sales role; carrying a quota
  • Has experience executing on a technology partnership strategy
  • Worked for a successful high growth startup (series A, B or C)
