About the Role

This role involves implementing marketing campaigns targeting business decision makers, optimizing lead handoff to sales reps, and managing Pinecone’s email marketing strategy. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in growth marketing, email marketing, and campaign management.

Pinecone is a distributed team with offices in New York, San Francisco, Tel Aviv, and Manchester. You will be part of a world-class team from companies like Amazon, Google, Databricks, and Splunk. The company emerged from stealth in January 2021 with $10M in seed funding — led by the same legendary investor as Snowflake —  followed by $28M Series A funding in 2022 and $100M Series B funding led by Andreessen Horowitz in 2023.

Responsibilities:

  • Demand Generation Events:

    • Coordinate and execute a large number of demand generation events owned by the marketing team.
    • Liaise with internal stakeholders, speakers, vendors, and participants to ensure seamless event execution.
    • Manage event logistics, including venue selection, accommodation arrangements, and vendor coordination.
    • Manage registration & attendee list uploads into CRM as well as manage reminders and follow ups for events.
    • Work with Growth & RevOps to track and attribute event attendees to pipeline and revenue
    • Speak to Sales reps during enablement sessions and field Q&A
  • Corporate and Brand Events:

    • Play a critical role in the planning and execution of Pinecone's flagship events, such as the Pinecone Summit.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful event delivery.
    • Coordinate with speakers, vendors, and attendees to facilitate a smooth event experience.
  • Event Management:

    • Develop and maintain comprehensive event plans, timelines, and budgets.
    • Manage event registration processes, attendee communications, and on-site check-in procedures.
    • Oversee event setup, tear-down, and on-site coordination with vendors and staff.
  • Vendor Management:

    • Source and manage relationships with event vendors, including venues, caterers, audio-visual providers, and printers.
    • Negotiate contracts and ensure vendors meet established requirements and deadlines.
    • Coordinate the production of printed materials, signage, and other physical event collaterals.
  • Travel and Logistics:

    • Must be available to travel frequently to events
    • Arrange travel and accommodation for speakers, staff, and attendees as required.
    • Coordinate transportation and logistical arrangements for events.
    • Ensure compliance with travel policies and budget guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in growth marketing and/or demand generation.
  • Proven experience in growth marketing, particularly in a PLG and B2B SaaS environment.
  • Strong background in email marketing strategy and execution, including lifecycle emails and nurture campaigns.
  • Experience in implementing and optimizing marketing campaigns targeting business decision makers.
  • Proficiency in A/B testing methodologies and tools to drive continuous improvement.
  • Excellent understanding of digital advertising strategies and budget management.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Experience with webinar and event management, including audience segmentation and engagement.
  • Familiarity with marketing automation tools and CRM systems.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience with tools like Salesforce, Hubspot, BI Tools (Metabase, Sigma, etc.), Gong Engage for outbound sales tactics.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including sales, product marketing, and developer relations.
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision-making ability.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Strong preference for previous experience in AI/ML/Data/Developer-centric companies
  • Prefer early stage startup experience
