Anne Marie Ferguson has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over two decades. Anne Marie began their career in the US Army as a Medical Service Corps Officer in 2000 and served in various roles, including a Laboratory Manager, overseeing a 60-person Pathology Department in a 64-bed hospital. In this role, they were responsible for managing the Quality Management System, budget, human resources, regulatory compliance, customer service, and safety.
During their time in the army, they also completed a Training With Industry Fellowship with the Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute (CLSI), where they worked on developing companion products to standards and implementing a Quality Management System.
After leaving the army, Anne Marie joined the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services for an internship where they focused on facilitating the licensing process for military members and veterans entering the job market in Washington State. Anne Marie partnered with the VA and Madigan Army Medical Center to demonstrate the level of medical care provided by military members and streamline the licensing process.
In 2016, Anne Marie joined Womack Army Medical Center as a Manager of Laboratory Services and contributed until 2022.
From 2017 to 2022, they worked at Regional Health Command Atlantic as a Regional Laboratory Consultant, primarily planning and coordinating SARS-CoV-2 testing for the region consisting of military bases from Puerto Rico to Fort Drum, New York, and Fort Campbell, Kentucky.
Anne Marie then moved to the Defense Health Agency in 2021 as the Director of Ancillary Patient Services at the Womack Army Medical Center. Their responsibilities in this role included overseeing various patient services.
Most recently, in 2022, Anne Marie joined Pinehurst Medical Clinic as the Associate Laboratory Director and subsequently became the Director of Laboratory Services.
Anne Marie Ferguson completed their Master's Degree in Health/Health Care Administration/Management at the University of Washington from 2011 to 2013. Before that, they obtained a Bachelor's of Arts degree in Biology from Seattle Pacific University from 1996 to 2000. Anne Marie also has additional certifications, including "Developing and Implementing an Outward Mindset" from The Arbinger Institute in March 2017, and "MLS(ASCP)CM" from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) in August 2005.
