Gary Hutchings

Gary Hutchings MSyI is an experienced security and law enforcement professional with a career spanning over two decades. Currently serving as the Group Head of Security at Pinewood Group Limited since February 2023, Gary Hutchings is responsible for setting strategic security operations and enhancing the security and customer experience. Prior to this role, Gary Hutchings spent 21 years at Surrey Police, holding multiple positions including Detective Inspector, where responsibilities included leading specialist teams in intelligence gathering and crime pattern analysis. Gary Hutchings also managed large teams and contributed to community safety initiatives while overseeing significant law enforcement operations at various levels. Earlier experience includes a foundational role as a Police Constable with Hampshire Constabulary, where strong skills in conflict management and crisis response were developed. Education through the College of Policing further complements Gary Hutchings’ professional expertise.
