Li Shen

Li Shen has extensive work experience in the technology industry. Starting in 2010, they worked as a Software Engineer at NetEase Youdao for two years. Following that, they joined Qihoo 360 as a Senior Software Engineer from 2012 to 2015. During their time at Qihoo 360, they gained valuable experience in software development. In 2015, Li Shen joined PingCAP and served as the VP of Engineering/Head of TiDB Engineering. In this role, they were responsible for the kernel development of TiDB, including SQL statement parsing and execution, query optimization, and distributed computing framework. Li also played a crucial role in designing, developing, and testing TiDB to ensure its stability and reliability. Additionally, Li Shen optimized the performance of the SQL engine. In January 2020, they transitioned to the role of Head of Global Business at PingCAP. Recently, in May 2022, they were promoted to the position of Senior Vice President.

Li Shen obtained a Master's degree in Computer Network from the Institute of Computing Science. This took place from 2007 to 2010.
