Christopher Hodson

Christopher Hodson is the current Chief Financial Officer at Pinnacle Group. Prior to this, they served as the Finance Director at Tunstall Real Estate Asset Management Limited from June 2017 to September 2018. Christopher also has experience as the Finance Director at Lands Improvement Holdings from December 2009 to September 2016.

At Lands Improvement Holdings, they were responsible for leading the finance function and strategic vision for the business with a gross asset value of c.£140m. Christopher reported to the Managing Director and oversaw a finance team including a Financial Controller, Assistant Accountant, Financial Specialist and Commercial Analyst. Christopher was in charge of the complete finance function, which included financial / management reporting, project finance, commercial management, tax, structuring and review of statutory accounts. Additionally, they compiled the business plan and related financial projections in conjunction with the MD.

During their time at Lands Improvement Holdings, they were part of the senior leadership team responsible for growing the business from c£50m NAV to £120m. Christopher was also responsible for vendor due diligence process (financial, tax and corporate) for sale process, and they realised “high teen” returns in relation to new capital invested in acquisitions over the hold period. Additionally, they managed the implementation of a new management information system to integrate financial reporting with capital budgeting, managing projected capex of c £125m. Christopher also completed an extensive review of all corporate governance practices within the group to ensure compliance with BlackRock’s company secretarial processes. Lastly, they developed a ground breaking Section 106 agreement by devising a mechanism to link contributions to market performance of overall scheme.

Christopher Hodson completed their Bachelor of Business Science (Finance) at the University of Cape Town. Christopher then completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting also at the University of Cape Town. Christopher is a Chartered Accountant (CA) in South Africa and is certified by the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants.
