Amy Francis-Smith

Amy Francis-Smith is a Senior Architect at Pinnegar Hayward Design LLP since August 2019, overseeing diverse projects in the Healthcare and Residential sectors, and serving as PHD's Internal Accessibility & Inclusive Design Advisor. In addition to this role, Amy is a Design Council Expert focused on Access and Design in the Built Environment and holds visiting lecturer positions at Cardiff University, Birmingham City University, and the University of Nottingham, delivering courses on Access & Inclusive Design and Disability in Design. Amy also contributes as an Advisory Board Committee Member for Habinteg Housing Association, advocating for accessible housing, and previously served as Vice President of the Birmingham Architectural Association. Academic qualifications include multiple degrees in Architecture from Birmingham City University, University of Westminster, and University of Brighton, along with training in British Sign Language.
