Painting Instructor at Pinot’s Palette

Sarah Lee has a diverse work experience that spans various industries. Sarah started their career as a Designer at Warnaco/Chaps Ralph Lauren in 1998 and then moved to Levi Strauss & Co./Dockers as a Designer from 2000 to 2004. Sarah later joined Joseph Abboud as a Senior Designer from 2006 to 2008. After that, they worked at PVH Corp. as the Director of Design & Merchandising from 2008 to 2017, where they successfully led designers and implemented innovative designs and marketing campaigns. Sarah also served as a Committee Member for the PVH Cares Charity, actively engaging in fundraising and volunteerism.

In 2018, Sarah transitioned to the fashion industry as the Head of Men's Design for The Kasper Group's Jones New York Signature sportswear collection until February 2020. Simultaneously, they worked as a Painting Instructor at Pinot's Palette starting in 2018 and became a Founding Member of FoHiImprov in 2019. Following this, Sarah took on the role of a Substitute Teacher at the NYC Department of Education from March 2020 to September 2020, where they managed class schedules and taught math and improv games to a small group of students during the COVID-19 school closures.

Most recently, starting in September 2020, Sarah has fulfilled their lifelong dream of becoming a CTE Art Teacher at the NYC Department of Education. Sarah teaches various art subjects such as studio fine arts, graphic design, digital art, photography, and storytelling. Sarah differentiates and scaffolds their lessons to cater to individual student needs.

Sarah Lee attended Tenafly High School from 1990 to 1994, where they obtained their High School Diploma with a focus on Fine and Studio Arts. Following their high school education, they enrolled in Pratt Institute from 1994 to 1998, earning their Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Fashion Design.
