Tim McAfee

Tim McAfee is the CEO and Engineer at Pioneer Broadband. Tim has over 20 years of experience in the telecommunications industry. Tim started their career as a systems manager at the F. A. Peabody Company where they built wide area networks for 8 branch office locations. Tim then migrated desktops to Citrix Metaframe environment and migrated data from leased lines to IPSEC VPNs.

In 2008, they became the CTO of Pioneer Broadband where they were responsible for engineering and technical sales of all products and services. Tim developed new branding strategy for the company in 2008 when the company moved away from mainly delivering fixed broadband wireless. Tim also developed various partnerships with vendors and clients. In 2011, they assisted in the creation of six "turnkey" ISPs in Northern Maine.

Tim McAfee enlisted in the United States Navy and was trained in nuclear plant operations at the Navy Nuclear Power School.
