Alex Federation

Alex Federation is the Co-Founder and CEO of Talus Bio, a company specializing in cancer drug discovery through the profiling of drugs affecting the DNA regulome using functional proteomics and AI. Prior experience includes serving as Lead Bioinformatics Scientist and Pharma Alliance Manager at SEngine Precision Medicine, where collaborations with pharmaceutical partners were established to validate biomarkers for clinical-stage cancer therapeutics. As a Senior Data Scientist at Navigating Cancer, Alex worked on data models for clinical research utilizing patient-reported outcomes and EHR data. Early roles include a Research Fellow at the Altius Institute for Biomedical Sciences, a PhD Candidate at Harvard University, and teaching positions at the University of Rochester. Alex holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Biology from Harvard University and a B.S. in Chemistry and Cell & Developmental Biology from the University of Rochester.
